Leiney Grace is out of surgery!

Surgery ended about 3 15 and we just met with Dr. Bradley.  He said everything went as expected other than the little detour at the end.  The bleeding was at the location of the wire placed at her sternum. He said she had several areas there bleeding, and he stopped it.  We hope to be able to see her around 4 30.  Thank you all for praying.  The next 24 to 48 hours are critical, of course.  One big hurdle is to get her off the ventilator and breathing on her own again.  We are most thankful to God for placing this precious little girl in our lives and seeing her through this much needed surgery today.

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds … Great is our Lord, and mighty in power …” (Psalm 147:3)

About 3 weeks ago I found your blog by using Google and typing in Lei QingQuan - Adoption. My heart has been so full and so very blessed to see the family that God chose for this beautiful child.

In April of last year I saw her face and began to pray for her. I struggled with the decision of whether or not to pursue her for adoption. When her file was released to the shared list and BAAS secured it... I reached out once again but you all had locked her file. I just didn't know who you all were. My heart hurt and I wondered if I had not been obedient to God's call and wanted desperately to know where she was and what God's provisions for her were.

He is faithful!! I'm thrilled beyond measure she has a family who knows and loves Jesus! I'm thrilled she has SO MANY siblings!! I'm a single mom with an 8 year old daughter adopted from China in May of 2005. A native Mississippian, Eliza Grace (yes, a southern double name for my girl too) and I live in Arlington, VA. I came home at lunch today to check your blog, to follow her progress. Know that I am praying for you and your beautiful Leiney Grace!

Blessings to you all!

So glad I decided to check in on you; just wish I had done it earlier in the day! But I will be praying myself to sleep petitioning God for your Leiney Grace! Prayers for an uneventful night and rest and for her to go through the necessary steps post-op. Heart hugs, Leslie

Praise the Lord for bringing Leiney Grace safely through her surgery! I know the little bump in the road was scary.

Continuing to pray......

Thanks for the updates!
