Log In Date - WHAT???

We received our Log in Date (LID) this past Wednesday. It was quite a disappointment to say the least. We were dossier to China (DTC) on March 4. Typically a dossier is logged in within a few days to 2 weeks. Well, our LID is April 7. What a shock! We took some pictures of Lilly showing a range of emotions through her facial expressions. These pretty much sum up how we feel about this LID!

"WHAT? April 7?"

"Please say it isn't so!!!"

"This is not right! That's over 4 weeks!"

"I really want Ellie to come home soon!"

"This is just too much for a 2 year old to take!"

Jan, The pictures of Lilly are priceless! Sarah Mei sits at our computer every day and looks at the pictures of Lilly, Lainie and herself. Then she imitates she and Lilly riding her trike...too cute!! So sorry about the delayed LID. We'll keep praying for sweet Ellie. The Horton family

Oh my goodness! I just came across your blog. I was looking at your pictures and thought you guys looked familiar when it dawned on me! (If you don't remember me, I'm AnnaClaire's big sister, Emily) How exciting that you are adopting again! Ellie is just beautiful! Congrats on being LID, although it is later than you wanted. Please email me, as I cannot find your email adress- emilyh331@gmail.com!

Ok, time for a phone call. I don't understand what this means. Lilly expressed the emotions superb though!

Jan,
I couldn't help laughing at all of Lilly's expressions. Bless her little heart. She's just too young for this stress! She needs her sister's LOA right away!

So sorry to hear about your long stretch between DTC and LID!! This paperchase business is for the birds....tomorrow marks the 1 year anniversary of starting the paperchase for our 7 year old daughter in Armenia. Thankfully the wait is almost over....we leave Sat. to bring her home. Here's to a speedy LOA for Ellie

So sorry to hear that your LID was disappointing. Praying that everything else happens in record time. I got to meet your sweet cousin Sheri and her precious little one one the other day. Too fun! Good luck with the rest of the process. Your family is beautiful- Ellie will fit right in!
